Create a Scout Coin

What they are:
Scout Coins are unofficial, fan-created coins launched to attract an athlete, club, team, or other sports figure (“Represented Party”) to FANstrike. They are discovery tools: if the Represented Party later claims the coin, it becomes their verified coin and the scout keeps a fee share for having kick-started it.
Who can create a Scout Coin:
Eligibility: Anyone may create one Scout Coin for a given Represented Party during the Exclusive Creation Window.
One active coin per party: FANstrike prevents duplicate Scout Coins for the same party during the window.
Required handle: You must provide the official Instagram handle of the Represented Party for verification and labeling.
What you need to create one:
Creation fee: A Scout Coin Creation Fee applies, as shown in the app at the time of creation.
Accurate info: Use only public, factual information about the Represented Party.
No IP misuse: Do not use logos, trademarks, or copyrighted images without authorization.
How Scout Coins work:
Create: Pay the creation fee, submit the official social handle, and launch.
Exclusive window: The Exclusive Creation Window lasts 60 days in total: Graduation Period (30 days) + Claim Period (next 30 days).
Claim: During the Claim Period, the Represented Party can verify and claim the coin via our self-service flow (identity verification + wallet).
After claim: The coin converts to a verified coin under the Represented Party’s control. The scout retains their creator fee share permanently.
FANstrike support: If a Scout Coin shows strong traction, FANstrike may use its relationships in the sports world to help reach out to the Represented Party and encourage them to claim it.
Fees and how you earn as a scout:
Token Fee: Each trade incurs a protocol fee collected by the liquidity provider’s smart contract.
Distribution:
Creator Fee (scout): 10% of Token Fees from that coin, only if the Represented Party claims within the Claim Period.
Represented Party: Receives 90% of creator-side fees once claimed (dominant share).
Claim to unlock: No fees are distributed until the Represented Party claims the coin. After a successful claim, the scout can claim their accrued and future Creator Fees anytime in-app.
If the coin is not claimed
Unclaimed after window: : If the Represented Party does not claim the coin within the Claim Period, it is permanently deleted. No fees are distributed — all accrued trading fees are redirected into the FANstrike treasury. Further details on the use of these fees will be published in our upcoming whitepaper.
Takedowns and disputes
Takedown: Represented Parties may request an immediate takedown via the automated process.
No impersonation: You must never present the coin as official or endorsed prior to claim.
Disputes: Identity, claiming, and takedown disputes are resolved by FANstrike at its sole discretion; additional verification may be required.
Good scouting practices
Be factual: Use only publicly available, accurate information; avoid speculation or misrepresentation.
Be respectful: Do not harass, defame, or cause reputational harm.
Set expectations: Make it obvious this is a fan-created initiative intended to bring the athlete/club onto the platform.
Promote responsibly: Avoid hype about price or profits. Focus on community interest, transparency, and utility ideas the creator might adopt if they claim.
Why create a Scout Coin
Discover early: Surface athletes, clubs, or teams you believe in before they join.
Earn long-term: If they claim, you receive 10% of Token Fees for that coin, past and future.
Grow the ecosystem: Help transition promising Scout Coins into verified creator-owned coins.
Get support: With traction, FANstrike may help open the right doors through its sports relationships.
